A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to non-existent email addresses under the exact same domain. For example, an email message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get email messages from partners or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Only one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be re-sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

If you host a domain name on our cloud hosting platform and you have a shared hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any email mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section includes quite a lot of features, but it’s unbelievably user-friendly, so setting up a catch-all mailbox requires just a click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be shown in this section alphabetically and you will only need to click on the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the specific address. Our system will warn you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either disable the latter feature or choose some other mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all option is just as easy and requires yet another mouse click on the very same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all feature can be enabled with ease if you have a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you’ve created using the domains hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be displayed in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will find a small-size sign handily located directly next to each one. With just a mouse click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your preference as long as there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with the option already activated and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable this option using the menu that will pop up. If any of the prerequisites for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will warn you, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
